I was walking next to a row of houses and could see the fireball, but as it fell it moved out of my line of sight due to the houses. When I rounded the corner it was gone.

It was a glowing green train that didn't last long. Long enough to see that the fireball was falling and it seemed to fizzle out as the fireball moved out of my line of sight.
