My friend who was driving 15-20 miles ahead of me going north on I-65 also saw something very bright land on the ground not too far from the highway. I was 15-20 miles behind him and did not see this. From my perspective, the fireball burnt out before it reached the horizon. But I called him immediately after seeing it and he said it landed not far from him.

It seemed to get brighter as it got closer to the horizon and then almost exploded and then burnt out.
