| Remarks | It was still daylight—though fairly close to sunset—and my view was partially obscured by trees, but the even still, the fireball was impossible to miss if you happened to be looking that direction, and it was breathtaking in its visibility. All I saw was about 1 second's worth of a super-fast-moving white-hot dot shoot down towards the horizon. That part was clearly visible to me, enough to make me gasp out loud and confuse my companions (we had just finished snowshoeing some trails), but whether or not there was a glowing train is harder to say. I didn't see it, but again, it was daylight and I was among trees. |
