Remarks | I saw this fireball while sitting on my back porch this evening around dusk, so if there was a smoke trail I couldn't see it. I live on MacDill AFB (South Tampa), and it was off in the ESE direction (South of Riverview, but North of Apollo Beach). When I first looked up and saw it, there was already a tail with considerable fragmentation. It was moving almost straight down with a slight left to right trajectory. Just before I lost view of it behind behind the trees/houses it was slightly brighter than a full moon with bright white center, and the tail/ fragments were more yellow/orange. |
