| Remarks | I was flight captain of LH808, flying from Frankfurt to Stockholm Arlanda, descending through an altitude of 23470 feet, when I saw the fireball, very, very bright. It was difficult to estimate the distance. It seemed we would hit it. It also seemed to go through our altitude, I definitely saw it below the aircraft when it disappeared. The sky was as bright as during daylight, even the sky was blue during a few seconds. |
