Remarks | I have stayed up to see many meteor showers over the years, and I have never seen anything like this. It was many orders of magnitude larger than any meteor I've ever seen, and was extremely bright even in full moonlight. It lasted long enough that my husband , who was sitting with me but looking in another direction, was able to catch the tail end of it when I called out. That's why I think it was closer to 2-3 seconds than 1. I'm not sure that my angles are super accurate, but it started in the west northwest. |
