| Remarks | I was driving straight north at roughly 0545 EST and it came into view at the top of my windshield at about a 1 to 2 o'clock position relative to my direction of travel. Appeared to travel parallel to my northerly track. My truck is loud and my radio was on so I couldn't hear anything. The "vapor trail" was one of the most spectacular things I have seen. I have seen several bright meteors, but none have ever come close to the size, brightness and duration of this one, and I have never seen a trail that had any distinctive features such as this one did, let alone any features at all. I was absolutely "wowed"! |
