| Remarks | I was looking at the ground level the point this bright object appeared at the top edge of my peripheral vision at which point I looked up. It was very bright and orange and moving rapidly, as if it was a single streak of fireworks. However there was obviously no celebration going on. I have seen meteors and during my backyard astronomy sessions before and this looked much closer to the ground, with a thicker "wake" than anything I have ever seen before. It was visible for perhaps two seconds from the point I looked up at it and then disappeared mid air. |
