Lowest elevation I reported for meteor is when it became obscured by trees in forest. Bright light followed a moment later.

White, or white-blue light extending up to an elevation of about 40 degrees. Estimated radius of bright area was 20 degrees, but as I was in a forested area lower portion was obscured by trees.
