| Remarks | Chatham County NC, West of the lake and a couple miles East of the Haw River. I was driving Westbound on highway 64, near New Hope. It was in the Western sky, not far from my view down the highway. It certainly fell slower than a shooting star, and I saw it break up a bit, sort of like a firework. The whole sighting was less than a second in duration. |
