Reports Report 5712cf (Event 5712-2020)

Observer
Name Joanne L
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks The meteor was large and very bright with only a very short train. My husband and I both saw it as were were sitting outside around 8:00 at night. We were not observing the night sky but happened to be looking in that direction and the brightness and speed caught out attention. We have seen shooting stars before but this was unusual in that it was a large round, almost elliptical shape with a very short tail. Colors were very vivid, mostly yellows and white with light blue near the tail. Object was very clear and almost as bright as the sun. There was no fuzziness or a halo.
