It lit up the sky for about 4 seconds. It was not particularly fast. It was of a considerable size. There were trees overhead so that when it passed the clearing we were no longer able to observe it.

Initially we thought it was a firework as it was so bright and lit up the sky, and was leaving a generous trail of sparks that glowed (yellow?). However it was too large for a firework
