Remarks I am a former science teacher (physics and earth science) but I don't do much sky watching and I don't know much about it. I was not observing the sky intentionally when I saw this object-just sitting outside after dinner looking up at the sky at the right moment.

Remarks The object was elongated with a round end. The elongated portion appeared to be breaking into chunks. The chunks were bright but also dark around the edges. Incredible sight!
