| Remarks | I have only seen a couple of meteor showers in my life. This object seemed to be much closer to earth. I have no doubt it was space debris, either a meteorite or a falling satellite or something similar. It was awesome!!!!! I immediately called my husband and we joked about the 'end of the world' since it happened on Dec 21, 2012. If you have any information on this sighting from others, I would dearly like to hear it. |

| Remarks | Didn't look like smoke, more like a glow. It all happened so fast I didn't see any change to the train from the first moment I saw it until everything disappeared. |

|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Small bright white light followed by glowing fragments expanding randomly out from the center and behind the explosion. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Glowing fragments expanding randomly out from the center and behind the explosion of light. I could compare it to a firework that had no pattern. The fragments did not travel far and disappeared within a split second. The tail disappeared very shortly thereafter. |
