This is the brightest meteor I have seen in 10 years of viewing. View about 100 nights a year from driveway. Was using an AstroPhysics GT130 refractor at the time observing Jupiter. The light from the meteor cast a shadow on my driveway, forcing me to turn right to see what it was. Followed its path to the northwest.
