Reports Report 4493ae (Event 4493-2020)

Observer
Name Leanne B
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Different from anything else I have seen. Much closer as well. I happened to be looking in that direction and was stunned by the orange fireball falling fast. By the time I got my daughter to look up, it had changed to white and about half a second before it went beyond our line of sight.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It appeared bright orange, larger than most meteor showers with the long orange tail. Did not fizzle out like usual, kept falling to earth. Then there was a moderate burst and the color changed to bright white. The object then disappeared below the treeline behind my house.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I believe so. When the burst happened it was like a small firework.. Small sparks flying off. Not too many. A dusting in perspective. She size seemed to change as did the temperature because of the change in color and (after) lack of orange tail.
