Experience Level | 3/5 |
Remarks | Different from anything else I have seen. Much closer as well. I happened to be looking in that direction and was stunned by the orange fireball falling fast. By the time I got my daughter to look up, it had changed to white and about half a second before it went beyond our line of sight. |

Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | It appeared bright orange, larger than most meteor showers with the long orange tail. Did not fizzle out like usual, kept falling to earth. Then there was a moderate burst and the color changed to bright white. The object then disappeared below the treeline behind my house. |
Fragmentation | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | I believe so. When the burst happened it was like a small firework.. Small sparks flying off. Not too many. A dusting in perspective. She size seemed to change as did the temperature because of the change in color and (after) lack of orange tail. |
