Remarks | Yes, regarding reporting the fireball's angle, I was lying down looking straight up into the northern sky around 10pm EDT, and maybe a few degrees to the north and west of Vega. The fireball appeared almost straight up, or between approximately 79 - 85 degrees, that's an estimate, from where I was lying. It trailed off at about 97 - 100 degrees in a westward moving aspect. These are untaught estimations at best. I'm good at that but have very little meteor experience and consider myself extremely fortunate to have see this. The online tool does not take lying down into consideration and therefore may not accurately describe both my viewing position and thus the angle at which the fireball traced the sky. |
