Reports Report 4286i (Event 4286-2020)

Observer
Name John I
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Very very cool experience. I’m sorry I’m not able to be more specific. I wish I was ready for that to happen, it was so surprising. I think if it was quiet or if we were listening closer we would have heard sound coming from the flash. There was also both fireworks and lighting far off in the distances so it was hard. I hope to experience that again!

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It seemed to blow up and break apart. The pieces looked to have flaming trails of their own.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks There was a flash and I’m guessing but I saw on the order of 6-8 fragments spring from the explosion. It looked like flames trailing, unlike what I had ever seen with a shooting star (smooth trail). Hard to say if there was any sound because we were on the ocean on a rock jetty with waves making noise. If there was sound, it wasn’t loud enough to be memorable.
