| Remarks | I went outside to see if I could see the Perseid meteor shower. I was looking N/NW across the pond and suddenly the brightest meteor I have ever seen dropped straight down in front of me. It started white and got brighter and brighter as it fell, then turned red and then brilliant emerald green as it continued dropping, and then with a flash, it was gone. The flash happened about one palm's width above the horizon. The trajectory was straight down right in front of me. I have never seen anything like it. |
