Remarks I was not facing the fireball. :( I was sitting in my car facing roughly north. I was parked, reading with a light on. I noticed a bright bluish flash lasting a few seconds, moving from approx. east to west in the southern sky behind me. I looked around, thinking it was a truck with those annoying bluish headlamps, but I didn't see any vehicles and I didn't hear any vehicles. I know that it was between 9:15 and 9:30 pm because I had been reading for a while before finally going into the house around 9:38. I decided to report it when a friend mentioned the meteor, since I though it would be significant that it was bright enough that I noticed it when I wasn't even facing the right direction.
