| Remarks | i could see a fireball in front and fiery bits being left in its path. It appeared to pass directly in front of me. It was by far the biggest thing I've ever seen streaking in the sky. Huge and very bright, it seemed close enough to drop molten bits to the ground. It scared me. Too close to be a shooting star. It was traveling flat horizontal, west to east. It lit up the sky and lasted long enough for me to overcome my inability to speak, and then to describe its appearance, and trajectory to the person I was on the phone with. I got a solid visual sense of its color and size. It was the most amazing celestial encounter I've ever had. |

| Remarks | At the end of the 10 seconds, it seemed to break apart and orange bits drifted downward toward earth in the eastern sky in the distance. |
