Remarks | On December 7th, 2012, I was taking out the garbage at 0644 when I saw a bright flash of light all around me. I was facing east and looking down at the time. It seemed like lightening but there was a dense fog at the time, no storms in the area, and I didn't hear any unusual sounds. I turned toward the north and looked up in the sky and saw a west-east light trail which faded after a couple of seconds. It seemed to be traveling from west to east but I'm not sure. I was reminded of the trail left by the Space Shuttle when I saw it make a night landing many years ago. Because of the limited visibility caused by the dense fog, I was surprised to be able to see this light trail. It must have been very bright under clearer skies! |
