Reports Report 3520bo (Event 3520-2020)

Observer
Name Jim S
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks This appeared to be space debris, It was moving slowly, similar to an ISS pass. It was already burning when I looked up and seen it coming in from the West a bit under 45 degrees and finally burned out about that far down in the East. It was shedding debris the entire time. I had time to tell the people I was on the phone with to get looking up, my kids in the truck and listen to them being amazed and time to realize it was going to keep going and try to get my camera to a setting I could shoot it as I had been shooting the comet and had just moved to shoot the milky way. It easily surpassed 20 seconds. Its length of time and slow speed, gold orange color and fragmenting pieces and the actual detail of the fireball tell me it was most likely a significant piece of space debris. It was one of the best fireballs I have ever seen and I have seen and shot a bunch over my 50 odd years, I just wasn't ready for this one.
