Remarks There was a glowing train from the point where it fragmented to the point where it extinguished.

Remarks I did not actually see the initial flash because it was over my left shoulder but I turned toward it immediately because it was so bright (it made shadows) and startling. As I watched it continued to fragment, spreading out from the initial point. Near the end there was one last fragment that was lower than the rest giving the overall pattern a zigzag appearance but not anything that seemed like a terminal flash.
