Reports Report 2805ia (Event 2805-2020)

Observer
Name Bob O
Experience Level 5/5
Remarks One of the best fireballs I seen in recent years. This was towards the end of twilight. Expert rating 55 years as a amateur astronomer. I also dented static and using radio detected three beacons outside LOS on 2 meters one on 144.2990 MHz (wa7xcom/beacon.html) distance of 554 miles. This beacon persisted for several repeats before fading out. It left a nice reflective ion cloud apparently. I been using fireballs and meteor shows for amateur radio for Few years and don’t normally get visual sightings only radio reflections and backscatter.
