I couldn't really give the right data on this system. We were driving west on Borrego Spgs Road, toward Borrego Spgs. We looked west and above the dark Mts.over Ranchita area (s22) was a green fireball. It was short trajectory.... that we saw....above the dark Mts.and it disappeared behind them. We were at a distance of 8-9 miles as the crow flies... but hard to judge how far beyond the horizon line of the mt. it was. Sorry I can't be more specific.... also we believe it was the 9th.... not impossible it was the 8th. retired and C-19 the days run into one another. It was fantastic to see though!
