I was driving at the time, I'm not 100% sure where the meteor began, I only noticed it as it got below the top of my windshield. It appeared very close.

The center was a dark green, the outer edges were a light green, and the edges were wavy and had an almost mist like quality to it. From the initial sighting the tail remained strong until what I saw appeared to burn out.
