| Remarks | I was sitting out front facing south and behind me my house seemed to light up, I stood up and looked above my roof and saw an extremely bright light. I initially thought it to be a very low flying shooting star but it was HUGE! Plus, it was a VERY BRIGHT, Large, Orange ball with a bright yellow tail with orange surrounding it. The tail was not very long, it was about 2 and 1/2 times longer than the ball (sounds strange but it looked like a GIANT ice cream cone). I live in the woods so my line of sight isn't very far. It seemed to me to be traveling slowly before it passed out of sight behind the trees. Approximately, 90 seconds later I heard a very loud sonic boom. My husband, who was in the house, missed the sight but heard the boom. I'm still amazed!! |
