Remarks After seeing many 'shooting stars' / meteor showers on countless nights observing I have never seen anything like this. A very bright light that i observed for about 5 seconds even being able to tell my wife who was observing the new crescent moon through our 8" telescope who had time to look up and also observe the 'fireball' split into two distinct smaller fireballs before disappearing .

Remarks the object first appeared as a singular bright light with a trail from the east traveling across the sky for about 4 seconds in a northerly direction breaking into two distinct fragments with tails before disappearing a second or two later
