Reports Report 2217e (Event 2217-2020)

Observer

Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I row in a lake every night and occasionally enjoy meteor showers (Persieds) despite hazy Atlanta. Tonight I was unaware of eta Aquariids, but expecting to enjoy the moonlight., This thing startled me -- unlike the thin fleeting trails i see during the Persieds. It was solid, and as bright as a flare. I am still not convinced it was not some fireworks except 1: silent, 2: Weird hour for fireworks 3: trajectory very unlikely 4: terminal burst different. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU WHETHER ANY OTHER SIGHTINGS INTERSECT WITH THIS.. ps: I had no watch and the time is +/- 5 minutes or so, ALSO MY SINCERE ADMIRATION FOR MIKE HANKEY AND WHOEVER ELSE BUILT THE REPORTING SITE -- WELL DONE!!!
