Reports Report 1658ai (Event 1658-2020)

Observer
Name Shawn O
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It was early evening, about 630PM and the sun had not quite set yet so it was still pretty bright outside, I was taking a jog and was returning home along A1A south when from my peripheral vision, to my left, something made me look up over the ocean at the same time 2 people behind me began yelling 'HEY! OMG WTF is THAT thing!!??' I stopped as it continued streaking inland, very bright white-blue-greenish light at the head, shedding much smaller sparklers once it cleared land, and leaving a thin white contrail behind it. It began fading as it passed us nearly straight overhead heading inland/west while the sparklers stopped, contrail faded. The last I could see of it was a bright spot, no contrail/sparklers, that continued west towards the setting sun and it turned a warmish color as a small single dot very very briefly disappearing before going out of my angle of view. In other words it actually faded out before going out of my sight. It was not only the duration of the event, probably 4-7 seconds, but was really amazing being the first time I've seen any sort of object re-entry in (broad) daylight.
