The object was visible low in the sky to the west of Somerset, UK. The duration was 4-5 seconds & the object visibly broke-up mid-through the 'event'. The event was bright & was certainly the most spectacular 'meteor' I have witnessed to date. The fact the event was very bright + fully visible during the evening twilight makes it potentially more noteworthy.

Remarks
The object visibly broke up during the 4-5 second duration of the visible event. The 'fireball' continued after fragmentation, though it was hard to discern how many pieces the object broke-up into.
