Remarks I live in Paulden,AZ(3yrs). Its half way between Prescott & Ash Fork. I only heard the Sonic Boom. I moved from rural Wickenburg, 18mi W of Town. I lived there for 18yrs and, heard numerous, prob few dozen Sonic Booms (S.B). Caused by fighter jets(Luke A.F.B). But, this S.B. was much different. In the fact of the length of travel& length of audio of it. I heard it come rolling in from the S.West, to the N.East. The actual boom, was heard slightly before my home. (1mi NW from Family Dollar of Hwy 89).then a softer rolling sound continued NE >towards Flagstaff not Ash Fork. S.B.s created by Jets, always been quick and, sudden.Apprx 2-3 seconds. The much slower incoming rolling sound, noticeably different. The S.B.s total length of sound I heard, no doubt last 7-8 seconds. Its the most memorable. I read a local news ch. report. Where a local resident- Mr.Ward, id seeking additional info from witnesses. I thought perhaps my detailed audio info may help? Many early reports noted, meteor fell S.W. of Ash Fork. Knowing what I heard, made no sense? It 100% traveled S.W.(Prescott) of Paulden. Towards the N.E.- Flagstaff. Or N.W area, of furthest N.W area of Sedona. Hope it helps. I now have learned meteors create Sonic Booms.
