I have watched half a dozen meteor showers including scores of “shooting stars” but this fireball was at least an order of magnitude brighter than anything I had seen previously. Multiple other family members were driving the same highway several miles ahead and saw it. All agreed it was an exceptional event for the brightness and duration (which I may have understated).
