Remarks | When we first saw it, it looked like a commuter jet, 100% white. However it was traveling extremely fast. Additionally the flight path was horizontal. It was not falling out of the sky. Whole thing lasted about 5 seconds. First saw it in vision at about one o'clock. For reference consider camelback mountain 12 o'clock. Flew past camelback very fast and then exploded at about ten o'clock. No noise, just disintegrated into a big fiery explosion. Reminded me more of a cruise missile than a meteor since it was definitely horizontal the whole time. I saw it from fifth floor balcony, no obstructions in view. The explosion was in the air not on the ground or side of mountain. |
