| Remarks | I was driving a car at the time and the windows were up, so I don’t know if there was any sound. It appeared that there was some sparking coming off the object, possibly like a piece of metal burning up. The color reminded me of magnesium, it was bright silver. I’ve seen meteors high in the sky before, this was much closer and not traveling as quickly. It looked like it may have impacted within a few miles of my location, but I lost sight of it when it passed over the tree line. Viewing conditions were excellent, no clouds or other atmospheric interference. There were many other cars traveling the road at the same time, I’m sure that other drivers saw it as well. |
