Remarks | It was extraordinarily beautiful. It was not round with a smooth outline, but rumpled, as in movement. An almost full moon had partially risen behind me. After I saw it, I checked the brightness of the moon. It was many times brighter than the moon. This is a rural area.. It could not have been a reflection of anything nearby. It did not arc across the sky, but seemed to drop straight down in the Southern sky |
