Reports Report 1528dg (Event 1528-2012)

Observer
Name Lisa Q
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks This is not the first time I have observed what appeared to be a bolide. The first time (and I also reported the first sighting to this list--maybe in Sept 2009? or 08?), I witnessed a wide white streak that ended in an explosion moving outward irregularly from an epicenter. However, this current time, I only saw the fragmentation stage, and this time, it was in what looked to be a completely linear fashion, so the object seemed to be disintegrating with fire as it continued to streak across the sky.

Remarks I was driving in my car with the windows closed and the radio on at that time, so I probably would have missed any sonic effects.

Remarks -
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I actually saw only the fragmentation stage, so it looked like debris from something exploding in the air in a clearly linear trajectory. The streaking disintegrating object was fiery red, with irregular edges.
