Reports Report 6416ai (Event 6416-2019)

Observer
Name Barbara W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Observed from prone attitude, a very bright, green-white, very fast moving object flashed from s/se to w/sw about 6:40 am. The object appeared close or surprisingly large, frame of reference is a transformer pole located near the neighboring swimming pool on the map, From my viewing angle, the light moved under the crossbar of the pole, appearing relatively low over the hedge and trees. Duration was very short, there seemed to be a short trail with the approach of the object, then it appeared to be a very bright light before it was out of sight due to the window frame. Because of my viewing angle, my attempt to calculate the height on your graphic may be off. Puzzled, as it seemed too fast for a drone, too large (nearly the size of the transformer insulators at its max) and too low for planes coming or going into SJC, I discovered the Geminid showers this weekend. Whatever it was, it was unusual and interesting to see.
