the train got rapidly smaller as the fireball descended towards the school across the street. there was a little smoke as it burned out and it appeared to land in the school yard across the street.

The fireball became extremely bright and seemsed to consume itself. It appeared to land within a few 100 yards of us. I listened but did not hear if it hit the ground. I believe that it was mostely consumed by the time it hit.
