Reports Report 1492aj (Event 1492-2012)

Observer
Name Steven S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks This was a very bright, comparatively slow meteor of bright green color which had a noticeable tail that faded quickly behind it. The duration was long enough that I made more than one glance back and forth from my driving to the object. I later found a report on MUFON's site which described exactly the same object at the same time. That observer stated it broke in pieces. I only saw it did something as I was glancing back and forth at the road. What I saw looked like it did a pinwheel with sparks, but that would account for seeing the end of it fragmenting like the other observer said. That would account for the deviation I saw. This was a very bright, remarkable fireball. I have seen very few of this magnitude in my life.
