I was doing an 18-mile loop 24-hour bike race at the time. I clearly remember seeing the fireball off to my left and am positive about all my answers except I am not exactly sure I was facing south at the time because the course does a little "jog" in several directions at this part of the course and I was tired from already riding for many hours. But I am positive I saw it and am super excited that others reported it as I thought I was the only one. Someone else sent me this link and suggested I report it. Super cool!
