It was amazing to see. My wife and daughter also witnessed the fireball. We were driving from Atlanta to Birmingham. We were between the Talladega Superspeedway and the Coosa River. The approximate time was 12:15 to 12:20 am.

Remarks
It appeared as if small glowing pieces were breaking off as it was moved across the sky, but not trailing. They appeared near the back and top of the flaming fireball.
