Remarks I have spent quite a few nights staying up to watch meteor showers during the best potential viewing times. Then I get to see the best meteor so far in while driving home from work and not during a time of night I would anticipate witnessing one of this magnitude.

Remarks I thought at first that it was a flare from a flare gun due to it appearing so close, the brightness, and the fact it had a trail.
