i have seen a fireball many years ago that reached the ground during nightime that was much larger but don't remember any noise afterwards.

like an explosion approx 30 seconds to 2 min after i saw the fireball. much like a sonic boom that was in the distance. not super loud but made me wonder if there was an earthquake.
