Remarks | The exact direction of the fireball is difficult for me to be certain about. I was staying at a friends house when we saw the fireball. They said that the fireball was in the NNE direction, but the impression I get from looking at Google maps is that it was nearer due N. We only observed it for a few seconds as trees and hills were in the way. It was travelling quite slowly and close to the hill skyline (It looked very much like a passenger train moving along the brow of the hill, but there are no railways anywhere nearby!). Not sure of the elevation, but I think it was less than 30 degrees. |

Remarks | The fireball had already fragmented by the time I saw it. It consisted of several (perhaps a dozen, but that is only an impression) parts. |
