Remarks | I was driving on a dark country road, not sure of exact location, but this is a reasonable estimate. Time is also an estimate. I saw it when it entered my field of vision through the windshield, but it could have been visible higher and I would not know because of the van roof. The appearance was like a piece of falling green firework with a sparking trail, but moving much faster, and burned out before reaching the ground. It appeared quite close (I would have said within a few miles) although I know this perception could be mistaken. A friend, also traveling eastbound at the same time, on a different road and probably 20 miles further west (behind me) told me that he saw the same thing. |
