Observer
Name Jenifer C
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I like to watch meteor showers, whenever I know there’ll be good ones, even when it’s cold! And have seen lots and lots of meteors hitting or ‘ionisphere’ This is the second largest I’ve seen! This and one about 15 years ago around the 4th of July (it was green and lasted awhile). Neither was when I was expecting a meteor!

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks There was a long streak of white, then it blinked out, and then ‘exploded’ in a smallish flash.. like if the full moon in the distance is 5”, this was 1/2”.. then a few pieces briefly went multiple directions, with a millisecond of trails for them. I once saw a large green fireball and remember the distinct color.. I don’t remember specific color on this one.. white with sparks of red maybe?
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks As above- after it ‘exploded’ small pieces.. maybe 5 or 6, seemed to spark and go different directions for just a split second and then disappeared.
