| Remarks | I am the Cyprus National Point of contact for IMO for Fireballs. As the National Coordinator for the UN WSW 2019 and also for celebrating InOMN 2019, I was giving a lecture on the Moon to the general public at Kato Drys, Cyprus. Suddenly people started to shout with enthusiasm pointing to the sky. Others earlier and others later. so I ran to the end of the terrace and I observed a very bright meteor splitting into 2 parts leaving behind a smoke trail for approximately 2 seconds. One part headed a bit upwards and the second part continued falling up to approximately 20 degrees above the horizon before it disappeared. Its colored was initially orange and the turned to yellow. The total amount of time I observed the bright meteor was approximately 4 to 5 seconds. But, there were people who said they observed it for a long time (approximately 20 seconds) moving from left to the right when approximately observing towards South |
