The object disappeared behind a deck of cirrus clouds on the north-northwestern horizon. I’m an airline pilot and have a lot of experience seeing meteors. This seemed too large to be a plain meteor. It did leave a trail, but when the object disappeared behind the clouds I wasn’t able to judge how long the trail stayed in the sky after the object was out of sight.
